Course Objectives
|

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Apply a rational approach to selecting appropriate patients for chronic opioid analgesic therapy;
2. Optimize the therapeutic response through opioid selection, titration, rotation, conversion, and dose tapering;
3. Assess patient outcomes in the domains of analgesia, activities of daily living, adverse effects, and aberrant drug-related behavior;
4. Identify at least one method to use in their practices that will aid documentation when prescribing controlled substances.
