Course Description
This workshop updates currect and prospective inspectors on inspection requirements and explains the FACT-NetCord accreditation requirements to cord blood bank personnel.

Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this workshop, the participant should be better able to:

1. Answer commonly asked questions, clarify the intent of the checklist questions, and assist applicants in preparing their cord blood bank for an on-site inspection.

2. Describe ways to comply with the NetCord-FACT Standards. Outline a typical inspection.

3. Describe the preparation, scheduling, and suggested techniques for conducting an on-site inspection.

4. Describe the inspection report and required supporting documents following an on-site inspection.

5. Discuss common problems experienced during on-site inspections and suggested problem-solving techniques.

Method of Participation
To receive continuing education credit, learners must:
1. Participate in the workshop; and
2. Take the CE self-assessment test and complete the evaluation.

Please note: The learner must answer at least 70% of the questions on the post-test correctly.

The estimated time to complete this activity is 1 hour.

Your continuing education certificate can be printed by following the directions online after successful completion of the post-test and evaluation.
